Jo Beinemann, M.A. received her Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. Ms. Beinemann has a wide range of research experience that extends to various areas within the field of forensic psychology. Her graduate thesis examined how race and mental illness influence juror decision making within the context of pretrial publicity. She also participated in group research that examined how individual difference characteristics impact juror decision making in death penalty cases. During her graduate studies, she interned at the University of Massachusetts Medical School to assist with juvenile risk assessment research. She also provides risk/needs assessment training support for National Youth Screening & Assessment Partners (NYSAP), where she manages performance evaluations of staff newly trained on a number of juvenile risk assessment tools.
Ms. Beinemann joined the Behavioral Consultants, Inc. team in February of 2020. In her role as a Regional Behavioral Specialist, Ms. Beinemann is responsible for providing psycho-educational therapy for both adult and juvenile defendants. Her responsibilities also include oversight and training of Behavioral Specialists in the northeastern area of the state.
