Jordyn Dostalek, MA received her Master’s Degree in Forensic and Legal Psychology from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. During her graduate studies, Ms. Dostalek worked closely with indigent defendants in various public defender offices in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. She had the opportunity to work collaboratively with defense attorneys, investigators, and mitigation specialists. She has prior experience conducting social history interviews with clients, locating and interviewing witnesses, and analyzing confidential records for both adult and juvenile cases. Ms. Dostalek has a wide range of experience working with the defendant population and individuals who present diverse needs and cultural backgrounds.

 

Ms. Dostalek joined the Behavioral Consultants, Inc. team in July of 2019. In her role as a Behavioral Specialist, Ms. Dostalek is responsible for providing psycho-educational remediation for both adult and juvenile defendants. In her role as the Senior Jail Specialist, Ms. Dostalek’s responsibilities include conducting Intake Assessments with incarcerated participants recently ordered to remediation to competency, communicating with jail staff and monitoring participants’ clinical presentation, and collaborating with the JBCR Core Team.
